Club Meetings
One Plus One has a monthly meeting for Mothers of Multiples. These meetings generally contain a short business meeting and a speaker.
Past speakers have included fireman addressing home fire safety, educators discussing parents' rights to early intervention and education services, financial planners discussing the importance of planning ahead for college education expenses for multiples, and many more.
These meetings take place at 7:30pm every second Monday of the month, at The Barn in Schaumburg. Due to the evening schedule and topics, the meetings are geared towards mothers of multiples.
However, there may occasionally be an infant brought in for friends to meet, or older children brought along if babysitting arrangements fall through.
If you are interested in attending a meeting, contact the Membership Coordinator.
Moms Helping Moms
One Plus One offers emotional and physical support to new and expectant mothers.
Our Stork Club allows expectant mothers to join and learn valuable information before the births of their babies.
We maintain a data bank to allow members to network with those in similar situations.
Philanthropy
Spring and Fall fundraisers allow us to donate to a holiday philanthropic, and at year end donate the profits to a needy children's organization, club member or charity.
Library
Our Club Library offers books, pamphlets and magazines on the care and raising of twins and more from before birth through adolescence. You can see our library inventory by going to www.librarything.com, and searching users for "oneplusonemoms". You can also contact the librarian through that web site.
